The Silverton Foxes will venture away from home to face off against the Dallas Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Silverton knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Dallas likes a good challenge.
On Monday, Silverton got the win against South Albany by a conclusive 16-5. The Foxes haven't had any issues with the Redhawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Mckenzee Petersen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madalynn Ehrens, who fired off three home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Ava Brautigam was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Silverton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Dallas unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Crescent Valley by a score of 12-11. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (ten), the Dragons still had to take the loss.
Harlow Nelson was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Walls, who went 1-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Silverton's record now sits at 14-6. As for Dallas, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Silverton hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Dallas struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Silverton couldn't quite get it done against Dallas in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 9-4. Can the Foxes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
