Softball Recap: Wildwood Has No Trouble Against Eastside

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Meadowbrook Academy, Wildwood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eastside Rams with a sharp 24-13 victory. The Wildcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 24-12).

Alex Barron was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Mikaela Bey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Wildwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .725. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.

Wildwood's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Eastside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15-2 record this season.

Wildwood will be playing at home against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
