The Bella Vista Broncos will square off against the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Bella Vista rose to the challenge on Friday. They never let the Gauchos onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. Given Bella Vista's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while El Capitan is ranked 506th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Granite Bay entered their tilt with Patterson with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Granite Bay came out on top against Patterson by a score of 3-1 on Friday.
Bella Vista pushed their record up to 10-2-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three contests. As for Granite Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4-4.
Bella Vista came up short against Granite Bay in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Bella Vista avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
