Softball Recap: Advance Wins Going Away Against Holcomb

Advance made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Holcomb, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Advance blew past Holcomb 15-5 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Advance, who have now won four matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Advance pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Holcomb, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Advance will challenge Clearwater at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Fightin' Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
