Norris scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Crete, 10-6. At the time, the Cardinals were ranked 13th in the state, while the Titans were 57th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Norris, who defeated 13th ranked Crete, 10-6.
Keith Wolverton put up the best numbers through the air as Seward lost to Beatrice. He finished with 19 completions for 215 yards and 1 touchdown. Wolverton's favorite target this week was Ben Klenke, who caught 5 passes for 82 yards.
Leading B District 5 in both passing and receiving yards, the Bluejays' Wolverton and Klenke have proven to be a lethal combination. Wolverton has thrown for 1,214 yards this season, while Klenke has 17 catches for 339 yards. Jessup Workman from the Orangemen leads the league in rushing with 1,410 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Beatrice and Chuck Mcginnis' team. Robert Sexton's team enters the contest ranked 22nd in the state, while the Cardinals ranks 20th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Orangemen take on Crete. Beatrice has allowed 114 points this season, while the Cardinals have given up 131. The Orangemen allowed 7 points last week as they beat Seward.
Jim Jacobsen's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,241 from 4,678. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 10-6 victory over Crete last week.
