Belleville West's Brian Hill recorded the longest rushing play in Southwestern this season in his game against Granite City last week. Hill scampered for 86 yards on the play and finished with 86 on the day as his team defeated the Warriors.
East St. Louis extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Alton, 53-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Flyers.
O'Fallon's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Todd Porter threw for 336 and three touchdowns and Darius Mosely had 154 yards receiving. On the ground Kentrail Moran chipped in 106 yards. Greg Gibson helped O'Fallon's passing attack out by catching eight balls for 60 yards.
O'Fallon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Porter has thrown for 2212 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Mosely has 52 catches for 845 yards. Moran leads the league in rushing with 614 yards.
A big matchup in Southwestern this week will be when East St. Louis takes on Belleville West. At the moment, Darren Sunkett's team is in third, while Cameron Pettus' team is in fourth.
The Flyers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on the Redbirds.
