Even though The Desert Oasis Diamondbacks scored an imposing 38 points on Friday, the Palo Verde Panthers still came out on top. Palo Verde took their match against Desert Oasis 49-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Palo Verde.
Palo Verde's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Crew Dannels, who threw for 240 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt. The team also got some help courtesy of Furious Hoskins, who picked up 182 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Palo Verde now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Desert Oasis, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Palo Verde will head out on the road to face off against Legacy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. Desert Oasis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
