Lumberton came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the West Fork Gators 14-1. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Carter Wilson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Lumberton got a massive performance out of Gavin Harmse, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits Harmse has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Cody, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Lumberton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive games.

Lumberton pushed their record up to 21-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for West Fork, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Lumberton will square off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. West Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
