Basketball Game Preview: Christian Community Warriors vs. Kingsway Christian Eagles

Christian Community is 8-2 against Kingsway Christian since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Christian Community Warriors will welcome the Kingsway Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Christian Community is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Horizon Science Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Christian Community blew Horizon Science Academy out of the water with a 52-17 final score. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Christian Community's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Julia Restivo, who posted eight points along with eight boards and six steals, and Lyla Miller, who had 12 points and four steals. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Blumfeldt, who scored eight points.

Meanwhile, Kingsway Christian had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on January 4th. They took their match with ease, bagging a 56-21 victory over the Eagles. Kingsway Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The win got Christian Community back to even at 8-8. As for Kingsway Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Christian Community against Kingsway Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 64-26 win.
