The Ferris Yellowjackets will head out on the road to take on the Life Waxahachie Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Ferris and six for Life Waxahachie.
Ferris suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 67-38 defeat at the hands of Alvarado. Ferris has not had much luck with Alvarado recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Life Waxahachie suffered a tough 53-29 loss at the hands of Alvarado on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Life Waxahachie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1066th, while Alvarado is ranked 464th).
Ferris has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Life Waxahachie, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-17.
Ferris took their victory against Life Waxahachie in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 63-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ferris since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
