The Fox Creek Predators won the last time they faced the Gilbert Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. Fox Creek took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 78-45 win over Gilbert. With Fox Creek ahead 36-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Fox Creek found their leader in underclassman Kobe Sims, who scored 26 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Sims scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Baskett, who scored 13 points.
Fox Creek's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Gilbert, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fox Creek will take on Silver Bluff at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Silver Bluff focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Gilbert, they will be playing at home against Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
