Basketball Recap: Champaign Central Sets Scoring Season-High Against Tolono Unity

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Champaign Central). They came out on top against the Tolono Unity Rockets by a score of 71-59 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Maroons, who suffered a 55-46 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Champaign Central to victory were Cayden Love and Chris Bush. Love went 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points, while Bush went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Swanson, who posted six points along with seven assists and seven boards.

Champaign Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Champaign Central's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Tolono Unity, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Champaign Central will head out to challenge Decatur Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Champaign Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season. As for Tolono Unity, they will welcome Pleasant Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
