Manawa is a perfect 4-0 against Rosholt since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolves will face off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Manawa will be strutting in after a win while Rosholt will be coming in after a loss.
If Manawa beats Rosholt with four runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Wolves skirted past Wittenberg-Birnamwood 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Olivia Zielke was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Lily Krenke was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Bre Bonikowske was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Rosholt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Pittsville, falling 12-3. The game snapped a strange streak: the last seven times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Rosholt saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Zblewski, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Rosholt's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Manawa, their record now sits at 10-2.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Manawa hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Rosholt struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Manawa beat Rosholt 8-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
