The Lancaster Baptist Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Vasquez 71-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lancaster Baptist has scored all season.
Vasquez can attribute much of their success to Adam Wyganowski, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wyganowski has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Gates, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Lancaster Baptist dropped their record down to 4-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Vasquez, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster Baptist will challenge Santa Clarita Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Santa Clarita Christian is ranked 1253rd, while Lancaster Baptist is ranked 1240th). As for Vasquez, they will head out on the road to square off against Trinity Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Classical Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 contests -- so hopefully Vasquez likes a good challenge.
