On Tuesday Port Byron's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Skaneateles Lakers, sneaking past  13-11. The pitching woes were  uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this  contest were averaging 3.75  runs allowed.
Port Byron got a  massive  performance out of  Luciana Debois, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That  home run marked the first that  Debois  launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Raelee McDowell, who  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 1-for-3.
 Debois wasn't the only one working in the  home run department: Port Byron  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
Port Byron's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Skaneateles, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Byron will welcome Jordan-Elbridge  at 2:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Skaneateles, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Westhill  at 5:00  p.m.
