The Petaluma Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Maria Carrillo Pumas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Petaluma suffered a rough 42-21 loss at the hands of Vintage. Petaluma was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chase Miller, who rushed for 112 yards on only 15 carries.
Meanwhile, Maria Carrillo unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by St. Vincent de Paul 42-14. Maria Carrillo was down 35-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The losses dropped Petaluma to 6-4 and Maria Carrillo to 5-5.
Petaluma might still be hurting after the 42-21 loss they got from Maria Carrillo when the teams last played back in September. Can Petaluma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
