The Arcadia/Loup City Rebels's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They had just enough and edged Burwell out 49-47. That's another feather in the cap for Arcadia/Loup City, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Arcadia/Loup City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Conner Slobaszewski, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Kaslon, who scored 13 points.
Arcadia/Loup City's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10. As for Burwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Arcadia/Loup City on the road again on Tuesday and play against Wood River at 7:45 p.m. on January 30th. As for Burwell, they will play host again and welcome Sandhills/Thedford, where tip off is scheduled for TBD on Thursday. Sandhills/Thedford will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
