Menomonie was the 4-1 winner over Eau Claire North when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 7-3 to the Huskies on Thursday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

James Hoff was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Zydowsky, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Menomonie's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Eau Claire North, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menomonie will host Wausau East at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eau Claire North, they will welcome Marshfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
