The Neah Bay Red Devils won the last time they faced the Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes, and things went their way on Friday too. Neah Bay came out on top against Mount Vernon Christian by a score of 56-46.
It was another big night for Makyah Chambers , who scored 22 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Swan, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
The win got Neah Bay back to even at 3-3. As for Mount Vernon Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Neah Bay will stay at home for another game and welcome Chief Kitsap Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Mount Vernon Christian and Orcas Island will face off at 10:30 a.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Orcas Island is ranked 260th, while Mount Vernon Christian is ranked 264th).
