Make it eight blowout wins for the Desert Christian Eagles this season. They claimed a resounding 56-8 win over San Miguel on the road. Winning may never get old, but Desert Christian sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Desert Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Jones led the charge by scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Jones hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Anika Mulkey, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Desert Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for San Miguel, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Desert Christian will be playing at home against Valley Union at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for San Miguel, they will head out on the road to square off against Sabino at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sabino presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than San Miguel in Arizona (Sabino is ranked 130th, while San Miguel is ranked 305th).
