Fairfield is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Biglerville is on a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Knights will welcome the Canners at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Wednesday, Fairfield was able to grind out a solid win over York County Tech, taking the game 10-5. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won nine in a row.

Aubree Eichenlaub was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Fairfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Biglerville). They blew past Hanover 21-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Canners have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Fairfield, Biglerville also got a great game from a two-way player: Sydney McCleaf. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). McCleaf was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Ava Peterson was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Jenna Walter, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Biglerville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fairfield hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. However, it's not like Biglerville struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fairfield couldn't quite get it done against Biglerville when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Will the Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
