The Reed-Custer Comets won the last time they faced the Manteno Panthers, and things went their way on Monday too. Reed-Custer secured a 49-44 W over Manteno. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Reed-Custer.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reed-Custer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylee Tribble, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tribble hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Gwen Stewart, who scored 15 points along with 5 steals.
Reed-Custer's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. As for Manteno, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Reed-Custer won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Prairie Central at 6:45 p.m. on December 5th. Manteno's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lisle at 6:45 p.m. on December 7th.
