The Corinth Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 63-46 to Hart 2 Hart Academy. Corinth Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hart 2 Hart Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Corinth Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Alden Hughes and Cason Amerson. Hughes scored 17 points along with three steals, while Amerson dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Amerson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Thomas, who scored five points along with three steals.
Hart 2 Hart Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Pate, who scored 22 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pate has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Keen, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 blocks.
Corinth Christian Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Hart 2 Hart Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.
Corinth Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hart 2 Hart Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
