Adirondack's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They came out on top against the Weedsport Wolverines by a score of  26-19. The  win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage  in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Wolverines are ranked 161st).
 Robert Weiler produced another solid  effort rushing for 202 yards and four  scores while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 53 yards.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Adirondack was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 305  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 165  rushing yards in three consecutive  games.

 Adirondack didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Lydell Bechy and  Bryce Weiler. Bechy also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with 11.
Adirondack's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Weedsport, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 4-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adirondack will challenge Oneida at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Weedsport, they will square off against Sandy Creek at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 18th. The Wolverines will be up against the Comets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
