Cameron County is 2-8 against Coudersport since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cameron County Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Coudersport Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Cameron County is ranked 433rd, while Coudersport is ranked 440th).
Cameron County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 42-14 loss at the hands of Brockway. Cameron County was down 28-6 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Coudersport had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They took down Cowanesque Valley 20-6.
Gavyn Ayers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 101 yards and two touchdowns.
With Cameron County's defeat and Brockway's victory, both teams now sport identical 7-3 records.
Cameron County came up short against Coudersport when the teams last played back in September, falling 26-14. Can Cameron County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
