Lakota Tech lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shania Ferguson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Shangreaux, who scored nine points.
Hot Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season. As for Lakota Tech, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Hot Springs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rapid City Christian at 7:00 p.m. Lakota Tech won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Alcester-Hudson at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Alcester-Hudson is ranked 118th, while Lakota Tech is ranked 101st).
