Desert Pines smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cheyenne only pulled down five.
Meanwhile, Palo Verde fought the good fight in their overtime match against Liberty on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Patriots 51-47. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Breanna Richards-Scholz, who had 16 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in threes (two). Another player making a difference was Reagan Nehls, who scored 13 points.
