This season hasn't been kind to the University Titans, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 61-34 loss at the hands of Pine Ridge. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for University in their matchups with Pine Ridge: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, University still got an impressive performance from Gavin Gilmer, who scored 8 points.
Pine Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Travis Jackson out in front who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Laird, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds.
University bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Pine Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
University will play host again and welcome Halifax Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Halifax Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully University likes a good challenge. Pine Ridge is on the road again on Friday and play against Lake Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Lake Highland Prep is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
