The Westampton Tech Panthers won the last time they faced the Holy Cross Lancers, and things went their way on Friday too. Westampton Tech walked away with a 41-33 win over Holy Cross.
Westampton Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daelan Dickerson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Shakur Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Emmanuel Doku and Joey Martino certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Doku scored 15 points along with nine rebounds, while Martino scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Doku's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Westampton Tech's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Holy Cross, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Westampton Tech and Cinnaminson will face off at 5:15 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cinnaminson is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Holy Cross, they will challenge Medford Tech at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Medford Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Holy Cross likes a good challenge.
