Phoenix Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Destiny Kinsey. The Firebirds enjoyed a cozy 52-38 win over the Jordan-Matthews Jets on Tuesday with plenty of help from Kinsey, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and ten steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Several Jets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cassidy Graves, who posted seven points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Alston, who scored seven points and eight rebounds.
Phoenix Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Jordan-Matthews, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Phoenix Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-36 win against Clover Garden School on the 19th. As for Jordan-Matthews, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 36-30 loss against Lee County on the 20th.
