The Jamestown Muskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 70-35 loss at the hands of General McLane. Jamestown lost against General McLane in their previous head to head back in December of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 95-11 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Jamestown lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gage Planavsky. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Cole Ternent was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for General McLane, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jamestown has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Conneaut Area at 7:15 p.m. on December 14th. General McLane will take on Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwestern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 350th, while General McLane is ranked 46th).
