EJ Ruffin Turns in Season-Best Performance
Ayden - Grifton was led to victory by EJ Ruffin, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ruffin rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles and defending a pass.

DJ Davis helped snap West Craven's four-game losing streak. Davis did his part (and then some), rushing for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 111 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
For the season, Davis has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 195.1 passing yards per game.

Keondrick Melton's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his sixth-straight game with 104+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Washington dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Melton and Washington will face off against North Pitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Elijah Able Dazzles in Farmville Central Defeat
Farmville Central had to settle for second on Friday, but Elijah Able sure wasn't going down easily. West Craven had no answer to Able as he rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Able was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Able is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Greene Central on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Able saw the Rams), he rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Malik Brown Leads West Craven over Farmville Central
On Friday, West Craven got the W thanks in part to Malik Brown playing the best football he has all season. Brown rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If the past is any indication, Brown could be in store for another big game when he takes on Greene Central on Friday. Brown rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards the last time he and the Rams duked it out back in October of 2023.
