Bay City is 0-9 against Stafford since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Bay City came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Brazosport by a score of 62-54 on Friday. The victory was just what Bay City needed coming off of a 57-35 loss in their prior contest.
Javius Andrews and Adrian Molina were among the main playmakers for Bay City as the former scored 16 points along with five rebounds and the latter scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Alex Estrada was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Stafford stacked an 18th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Sweeny 72-33 at home. Given Stafford's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Sweeny is ranked 875th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bay City's victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-18. As for Stafford, they pushed their record up to 29-6 with that win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.
