The Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 70-57 to Wellpinit. While losing is never fun, Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Redskins are ranked 144th).
Despite the loss, Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame still got an impressive performance from Annelise Curran, who scored 38 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That was a full 66.7% of Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Naomi Hartman was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Wellpinit, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.
