Valley Union hasn't had much luck against St. David recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Tigers at 3:45 p.m.
On Tuesday, Valley Union didn't have quite enough to beat Duncan and fell 6-5.
Jose Avina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.
