The Greenwood Rangers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pecos 98-53 at home. That 45 points margin sets a new team best for Greenwood this season.
It was another big night for Tatum Pierce, who scored 30 points. Ty Presley was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Greenwood pushed their record up to 15-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Pecos, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Greenwood will be playing at home against Fort Stockton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Stockton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1256th, while Greenwood is ranked 518th). As for Pecos, they will head out on the road to take on Seminole at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Seminole's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
