Zapata extended their postseason success on Friday against Wimberley. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Texans, sneaking past 7-5. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Texans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Zapata's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-17-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Wimberley, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-17 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Zapata beat the Texans by a score of 7-5 later that day.
