Basketball Recap: BEN HEASTON Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

Northside L picked up another tournament win on Wednesday. They secured a 57-52 W over Omaha Lightning.

Northside L's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from BEN HEASTON, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 12 points and six rebounds. What's more, HEASTON also posted an 83% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in March of 2024. ETHAN RODECKER was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Northside L has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-19 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. Omaha Lightning is on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Coming up, Northside L and Kansas City East Christian Academy will face off at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. Northside L will be up against Kansas City East Christian Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.16 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Omaha Lightning does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
