Baseball Recap: Lake Region's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lake Region came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Lake Gibson Braves 10-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Thunder have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Koden Bechtel tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Dan Colon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Lake Region is 2-1 when Colon posts three or more RBI, but 4-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jehiel Gomez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lake Region's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Lake Gibson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Lake Region has already played their next game, a 15-4 victory against Ridge Community on the 19th. As for Lake Gibson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 20-2 win against Haines City on the 19th.
