The Willsboro Central Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 52-17 loss at the hands of Seton Catholic Central. Willsboro Central has not had much luck with Seton Catholic Central recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Seton Catholic Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grace Trombley, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Trombley hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Gabriella Conti was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals.
Willsboro Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Seton Catholic Central, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willsboro Central will challenge Wells at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wells' defense has only allowed 22.7 points per game this season, so Willsboro Central's offense will have their work cut out for them. Seton Catholic Central will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Schroon Lake at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Schroon Lake is ranked 484th, while Seton Catholic Central is ranked 505th).
