The Creekside Seminoles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-36 to Sumter County.
Creekside's loss came despite strong showings from Ahmare Mckenzie and Cadence Burch. Mckenzie scored ten points along with six rebounds, while Burch scored eight points. Mckenzie also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Creekside's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Sumter County, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 1-7.
Creekside will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tri-Cities at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Sumter County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Woodland at 1:30 p.m. on December 23rd. Woodland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 346 points over their last five games.
