 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Portsmouth Christian Academy, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pittsfield  on Tuesday and snuck past  7-5.
  Marion Spurr made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Spurr was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Kloe Mackenzie and  Eliza Arwood did most of the damage at the plate:  Mackenzie  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Arwood  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 The  win  got Epping back to even at 2-2. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, their victory was  their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-1.
 Epping might still be hurting after the  16-1 loss they got from Portsmouth Christian Academy  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Can Epping avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
