The Tapestry Thunderhawks will head out on the road to challenge the Buffalo Seminary Red-Tailed Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Tapestry couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to Buffalo Academy of Science 29-24.
Meanwhile, Buffalo Seminary's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 58-30 loss at the hands of Mount St. Mary Academy. Buffalo Seminary was down 50-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Roslyn Osei-Gymafi, who scored 11 points. Maya Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Tapestry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Buffalo Seminary, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Tapestry came up short against the Red-Tailed Hawks in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, falling 36-23. Can Tapestry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
