The Edison Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Edison has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Canton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Vroman, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Talin Williams, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Edison's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.8 points per game. As for Canton, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will take on Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Canton, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Sayre at 7:30 p.m. Sayre and Canton are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
