The Parkwood Wolf Pack entered their tilt with the Piedmont Panthers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Parkwood came out on top against Piedmont by a score of 72-65 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Greg Vinson was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron McKinney, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Piedmont still got an impressive performance from Miles Leaks, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Fred Little was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven assists.
Parkwood pushed their record up to 10-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Piedmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkwood will take on Central Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Academy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Piedmont, they will be playing at home against West Stanly at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
