Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Victory Christian extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Amelia Haney. The Victory Christian Lions secured a 51-47 W over the Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to Haney, who went 13 for 23 on her way to 31 points. The game was her eighth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Brisendine, who posted seven points and nine rebounds. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in January.

Victory Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to assists: they averaged an imposing 6.27 assists in those games compared to only 6.27 in the others. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian will take on Ragland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, they will face off against Altamont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
