The Norris Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Seward Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Norris focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
Norris entered their tilt with Elkhorn with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Norris enjoyed a cozy 45-29 victory over Elkhorn. Given Norris' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Elkhorn is ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Norris' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Johnson, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Ize Tidball was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Seward didn't have too much trouble with Northwest on the road on Saturday as they won 43-29.
Norris' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Seward, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
Everything went Norris' way against Seward in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Norris made off with a 49-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norris since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
