Last Friday, Filer's game was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Dietrich by a score of 54-43.
Filer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reese Hills led the charge by scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Hazel Fischer was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Gooding scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Nampa as Gooding made off with a 53-29 win. That 24 points margin sets a new team best for Gooding this season.
Filer has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Gooding, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13.
Everything came up roses for Filer against Gooding in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 75-47 win. With Filer ahead 41-21 at the half, the match was all but over already.
