Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Tunstall should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on George Washington at 7:00 PM. Tunstall are coming into the contest hot, having won four in a row.
It was all tied up at the half for Tunstall and Martinsville last Friday, but Tunstall stepped up in the second half. Tunstall came out on top against Martinsville by a score of 27-13. Senior Clay Hardy was the offensive standout of the match for Tunstall, as he rushed for 373 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hardy has been a consistent playmaker for Tunstall as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, George Washington got themselves on the board against Patrick County, but Patrick County never followed suit. George Washington put a hurting on Patrick County to the tune of 59-0. Followers of George Washington probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Tunstall took a serious blow against George Washington the last time the two teams met, falling 14-59. Can Tunstall avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
