After flying high against the Summit Leadership Academy EAGLES last Monday, the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle came back down to earth. Academy of Careers & Exploration took a serious blow against Silver Valley on Friday, falling 95-33. Academy of Careers & Exploration has struggled against Silver Valley recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Jasean Phillips continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Silver Valley, scoring 29 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Phillips has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Javion Taylor was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Academy of Careers & Exploration has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Silver Valley, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
Academy of Careers & Exploration will head out on the road to take on Lucerne Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lucerne Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 39 last Tuesday. As for Silver Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against PAL Academy at 5:30 p.m. PAL Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
